When god creates a new being, be they plant or animal, what do you think goes through it’s mind? Or does anything go through it’s mind at all? Life is like the cast of a dice, you never know what the result will be.
This design was inspired by Frank Miller’s Sin City. The use of the letters are similar to the bandages worn by the movie’s protagonist. In this piece I used scale change with the letters to create form, adjusting them and the dice by manipulating their proportion in contrast to the image of my face. The darkness of the work helps amplify the continuance look of isolation and no control. The placement of dice is critical as it helps reinforce this sense of uncontrollable fate. Giving a sense of asymmetrical balance.
“Let fate take control and cast its dice for I have no such power”
