There are many kinds of entertainers out there, stand up comedians, movie stars, let’s players, and critics. Name a form of entertainment and you will find someone critiquing on it for nothing is perfect. What once was seen as a masterpiece can give way to cliched junk as time goes on. Most entertainment don’t age like fine wine.
For this project I have to incorporate some sort of research component. I wondered just what I could do as the possibilities are seemingly endless. I take a step back from infinity and take a breath to focus my mind. I recall the old duo of Roger Ebert and Gene Siskel, a pair of critics that were before my time. But what about more modern critics? Well what about a more modern critic I wondered to myself. That brought me to Doug Walker, the creator of the Nostalgia critic. A show where walker himself critiques movies while also playing an entertaining caricature of himself while cracking jokes at the movie to make the review more entertaining. Throw in some skits, a couple of other actors, and boom you have a Nostalgia Critic episode.
However that is the Nostalgia Critic nowadays, back when he first started he was just a guy behind a camera with bad lightning. As were a lot of other people who were inspired by Walker in some way or another. To name a few, Jonathan “Johntron” Jarfari, Lewis “Linkara” Lovhaug, and James “AVGN” Rolfe. All these creators have their own style and in honesty I want to one day try being like them and as such I want to do my final project in a sort of homage to these creators that have given me such entertainment over the years.
